The Living God has declared; “I desire mercy more than sacrifice" (Matthew 12:7). In this juncture lies the simple truth through which happiness is derived: “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. Our God is God of mercy. In His abundant grace He has freely forgiven us our generational and earthly sins, and has thereby translated us from the kingdom of darkness into the glorious Kingdom of light- the Kingdom of His dear Son, the Lord Jesus Christ: 'As many as believed in Him He gave them power to become the sons of God, even as believed in His name' (John 1:12).

We cannot repay God for what He has done for us except appreciate Him and be merciful to the less fortunate members of our society. Almighty God-the Holy One of Israel has commanded: "For the poor shall never cease from the land;and therefore I command you, saying:You shall open your hand wide to your brother,to the poor and the needy in the land"(Deuteronomy 15:11).What we do for the poor we do for the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus we read: “He that shall pity the poor lends to the LORD, and that which he has given will He repay him again” (Proverbs 19:17). It is wisdom to cast your bread upon the waters: for you shall find it after many days (Ecclesiastes 11:1). “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). We are saved not by woks but grace; nevertheless we are saved for good works. This is shining for the Lord, the tenets upon which this ministry is founded. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good to all kindred, especially to them who are of the household of faith" (Galatians 6:9 and 16).

It is in this light that this ministry solicits for articles of clothing and food- stuffs from donors and partners, and distributes the same to the less fortunate members of the church; and by extension the neighborhood. “Every man according as he has purposed in his heart, so let him give: not grudgingly or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

"What the shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, and the poor of His people shall take refuge in it"(Isaiah 14:32).
